Inner peace doesn't deny the realities that surround us, but it insulates us from those realities. Achieving inner peace after having been abused as a child is what Achieving Emotional Freedom Now is all about.According to Ada Lloyd, The Emotional Chain Breaker, you are never responsible for someone else's choice to abuse or bully you. Verbally or implied you frequently hear "If you hadn't done this, I wouldn't have had to do that." It's a lie. Those choices are all about them. They are never about their victim. Healing happens when the chains that bind you to the past are broken and you have emotional freedom in the present. The voices of inadequacy and self doubt have been quieted.

Ada Lloyd, Brandon Hintz, Forbes Riley, and David Meltzer, were featured speakers at The Impact Maker Summit 2024. Ada Lloyd, The Emotional Chain Breaker, delivered an incredibly moving message about breaking the chains that bind adults who were abused as children to the pain of their past.

The stories Ada Lloyd shared were a powerful testament to her work. One story featured a woman who had experienced physical, sexual, emotional, mental, and even financial abuse growing up. She ultimately escaped only to find herself in another abusive situation. When she escaped again she entered therapy desperate to heal from the pain of her past. A few years later she was referred to Ada Lloyd. She began Lloyd's Achieving Emotional Freedom Now. In week 6 she announced "You know I was in therapy for 5 years and nothing changed. In 6 weeks you have changed my life."

As Ada Lloyd recounted this story you could see the emotional impact it had on her and the gratitude she felt to be able to facilitate this healing transformation. The impact on the audience was palpable. It was as though they were emotionally connected to what had transpired. Lloyd went on to explain how her proprietary healing transformative process works. It begins with studying all of the various things that constitute abuse, bullying, and enabling.

Ada Lloyd emphasized the importance of the client feeling safe. She readily shares her story of growing up being sexually abused long before it was on the public radar. She had to find her own path to healing.

As a part of the client feeling safe, she talked about the worksheets she has designed to help her client learn and apply healing principles and then really feel the emotions they experience. When they record these emotions that record is only for them. It never has to be shared with Ada Lloyd or anyone else. Ada Lloyd went on to explain the importance of stories. What was going on in their abuser, bully or enablers lives at that time? This was not in any way to excuse their choices but rather for the victim to understand that regardless of what they were told it was never about them.

Ada Lloyd reiterated "You are never responsible for someone else's choices". Having worked through the stories of their abuser, bullies and enablers, the client then owns their own story. This is what they experienced. How they felt about it at the time. How they feel about it now looking back and how they felt about the lies they were told about who they are.

The audience appeared fascinated as Ada Lloyd concluded by talking about quieting the voices that continue to play in the back of your head. Ada Lloyd explained the process was the final piece in healing from childhood abuse. What resonated with the audience was when Ada Lloyd explained that almost all of us have voices that tell us we are not good enough, The Imposter Syndrome, being just one example, can be quieted using the same techniques.
