MLR said in its statement the operations of the Austin Gilgronis and the Los Angeles Giltinis would be suspended "to ensure a successful 2023 season, and protect the long-term strength and continued growth of the league." Both teams are owned partly by Adam Gilchrist, an Australian entrepreneur who founded fitness chain F45 but recently stepped down as CEO after its stock price plummeted.
