Women-Led Development Team Protect Our Choice Launches Web3 Education Platform and Donation dApp Aimed at Women and LGBTQIA Nonprofits

United States - October 11, 2022

Protect Our Choice, a women-led development team, aims to bring more women and LGBTQIA nonprofits to Web3, a blockchain-based web used for cryptocurrencies, NFTs, and more. Web3 has been called the internet’s future. Protect Our Choice seeks to use its new web-based education platform and donation dApp to enable more groups to leverage Web3 resources for community development and fundraising.

Protect Our Choice, a cryptocurrency-backed startup, is forging a path in the internet industry, making crypto and Web3 more accessible. The women-led group seeks to assist underrepresented populations by building an educational platform for LGBTQIA and women’s rights advocacy nonprofit agencies.

“The total cryptocurrency market cap crossed one trillion dollars this past summer, and beyond simply the monetary value inherent in cryptocurrency markets, there is a burgeoning community rallying within Web3,” Protect Our Choice representatives said.

Protect Our Choice founders Shannon Jones and Katie Whelley said unique opportunities become available as global economies, personal finances, and community development shift toward Web3 and cryptocurrency. The pair believes that not enough women’s rights and LGBTQIA-focused nonprofits take advantage of the available opportunities.

A tailored curriculum

Protect Our Choice offers a tailored curriculum with options for self-guided learning through a collection of webinars, video tutorials, and articles or one-on-one coaching with an expert team member. With the proper education, groups gain the confidence to leverage Web3 to its fullest extent.

“Whether the cause stems from a lack of knowledge of cryptocurrencies and Web3 in general, hesitation about stepping into a new financial system, or simply a lack of manpower and resources to market and manage a Web3 venture, the women at Protect Our Choice heard a multitude of reasons when speaking to nonprofits about what was behind the lack of representation,” founders said.

Choice Donation dApp

After nonprofits sign up and create a donation wallet, the Protect Our Choice team begins marketing the group and their wallet on the company’s website and social media platforms, offering exposure to new communities. The nonprofit’s wallet will also be featured on the Choice Donation dApp in development with leading cryptocurrency donation platform, The Giving Block.

“This dApp will allow greater connectivity between nonprofits and the philanthropic cryptocurrency holders that support them,” Protect Our Choice founders said. “You can support the Protect Our Choice mission and earn passive income by purchasing $Choice Token, currently available on Uniswap.”

Streamlined and user-friendly, the Choice Donation dApp will be an on-chain donation portal allowing users to donate cryptocurrency anonymously to their favorite sponsored charities.

Conclusion

Protect Our Choice will continue to educate women’s rights and LBGTQIA advocacy nonprofits about the benefits of Web3 and cryptocurrency to help them adapt to the ever-evolving market.
