Attorney Christine M. Harney joined Irwin & Irwin on August 9, 2022. She graduated from Loyola University Chicago with a Bachelor of Arts in English and Communication before getting her Juris Doctor Degree from the university’s School of Law in 2008. She believes that succeeding in family law requires more than hard work, talent, and dedication. Lawyers who want to thrive must empathize with clients, prioritize their needs, and understand the stress that comes with family dynamics.
Since Attorney Christine Harney was licensed to practice law, she has gathered vast family law experience. Throughout her career, she has litigated cases involving the division of multi-million dollar estates and complex child-related issues with health experts, attorneys, and guardians/parents. She has also represented business owners or their spouses in litigation that required complex forensic accounting, business valuation, settlements, and legal counseling. Her commitment to service and passion for the law has earned her awards and recognitions.
She was selected as the Illinois Super Lawyers Rising Star in 2017 and designated as Illinois Leading Lawyer “Emerging Lawyer” from 2015 – 2017. She was named one of the “Forty under 40” lawyers by the Chicago Daily Law Bulletin in 2016. Christine is a member of the Orange County Bar Association. She has also served as co-chair of the Family Law Committee of the Chicago Bar Association Young Lawyers Section and guest lectured at Loyola University School of Law on child support, temporary relief, and child maintenance.
