Cult Consultative Association on “Beware of the movement to release Intercorp Cult”

The Korea Christian Cult Consultative Association (Jin Yong-sik, the chairman of the committee, Christian Cult Consultative Association) held a “Special Press Conference on Intercop Cult ” at the Yejang Gosin General Assembly in April 29.

The press conference was held to raise awareness of the concerns that several churches are filing a petition to release the Intercop cult rule in response to the decision by major Korean churches to ban participation or cut off exchanges of Intercop cult.

The Cult Consultative Association stated that Intercop had not abandoned their cult and that they were preaching a serious COVID-19 conspiracy theory while being sensitive to the saints and urged the Korean church not to reconsider the release until Choi Pa-ul’s genuine reflection and change were confirmed.

Pastor Seo repeatedly explained in detail that Choi Pa-ul, head of the COVID-19 conspiracy theory highlighted after the COVID-19 outbreak at the Sangju Yeolbang Center and stressed that “The indiscriminate accusation of the head of the cult research center for pointing out their faults is that Intercorp has a serious problem with morality (not only cult ),” he emphasized.

Pastor Seo Young-guk, director of the Cult Research Institute of the Kosin General Assembly, said, the feud between pastors and saints continues because of the church members who entered the Intercop within the opening church. This is a conflict between church members and pastors who argue with Intercop’s generational ideas, he pointed out that “It is confirmed through churches and saints who feel the pain that Intercop is only correcting the problems that the church and the general assembly have.”

In addition, Pastor Seo raised problems such as the fact that most of the groups and investigators who reported to Intercop as if there was no problem when the Korean church was sold together due to the COVID-19 outbreak at the Sangju Yeolbang Center and whether Choi Pa-ul was a pastor or an elder. And “Each general meeting in Korea should not be persuaded by pressure from a few hardliners and private relationships to expose the entire Korean church and its members to the intercom. Therefore, I strongly urge you to abide by the resolution of each general meeting on intercom,” he said.

At the press conference on the same day, Pastor Jin Yong-sik, president of the Korea Christian Cult Consultative Association, who was present at the press conference on the same day, said, ” Choi Pa-ul was not only influenced by the Shinto Apostolic movement grafted with shamanism, but also adhered to the attitude of suing the heretical workers who criticized him. It makes me doubt whether he is a person who sincerely wants to repent and reflect on his theological problems,” and he added, “Unless an explicit and practical change of Intercorp is confirmed, it is desirable not to discuss the release of them.”

Meanwhile, at the press conference on the same day, pastors with pro-Intercorp tendencies came to ask what the problems with Intercorp were, and they distributed leaflets stating that the press conference was unfair.
