“Fishing is Fun for Everyone” is a book written by recent University of Kentucky graduate and college football star, Josh Ali, to encourage kids to get off the electronics and get active.

Lexington, Kentucky Apr 28, 2022 (Issuewire.com) - Recent University of Kentucky graduate and college football star and Miami-native, Josh Ali, just published his first children's book entitled "Fishing Is Fun for Everyone," which is set to be released April 14, 2022 and will be available across all online platforms.

Like so many other people across the globe, when first COVID happened, Joshua was unable to travel and spend time with his family in Florida. To stay connected , he started calling them more using Zoom and FaceTime. During those calls he would often speak of his memories as a child and his love for the great outdoors in an attempt to help his younger brother and cousins break away from the television, computer screens and video games. After realizing that this issue was much bigger than his family, he decided to create a platform that would allow him to deliver his message in a fun manner to more youth that were addicted to their handheld devices and computers. This platform, "Young Joshua's Big Adventures," is a collection of short story books that would encourage new outdoor adventures.

The first book in his series is entitled "Fishing is Fun for Everyone." In this book, Josh is writing as his younger self. He shares why he became intrigued with fish and how he learned to fish at a young age. Throughout the book he shares memories of each of his fishing trips, along with how fun and adventurous each of these escapades were.

"Fishing is Fun for Everyone" is a self-published, great read for children between the ages of 5 - 10 years old. Josh has more to come as he has created a series of books that will keep kids engaged in leisure reading and becoming more physically active.

At the end of his senior year football season, Josh was in a car accident and had to take time off from his favorite sport. He began writing his children book series during the COVID pandemic and finished it during what he considered as a very critical time for him-a time of reflection.

"After my surgery I had a lot of free time on my hands. I spent weeks sitting on the couch wishing I could go fishing," says author Josh Ali. "The sport of fishing has helped me with my patience, gave me time to think about things, and it allows me to have good conversations with those around me. I wrote this book to not only talk about my fishing experiences, but to show that there are many exciting activities to do outdoors other than sitting at home playing video games."

During this time Ali was determined to make his lifelong dream of being in the NFL happen. To make this happen he was required to complete intensive physical therapy and workouts to help get him back on track. Recently, Joshua Ali entered into the 2022 NFL Draft.

"Fishing is Fun for Everyone" will be available for purchase directly on www.JoshuaAli.net and on all other online platforms.
