Happy Sunday everyone.

I am taking a few days off this week to head to Pebble Beach. My buddy Paul is celebrating his birthday in style taking TEN of his buddies and his son for a few days of golf.

I will definitely pay this trip forward assuming I don’t just give up the game.

Before I get started with some reads and listens, my friend Chris introduced me to a great product called Unstoppable Domains. It’s like GoDaddy for Web3 and Crypto. For a one time fee I now own HowardLindzon.crypto, HowardLindzon.X and Howard Lindzon.NFT – I may never use them but I like the idea and real estate and it might be a cool gift for the creators in your family.

The macro negativity is in my head and everyone else’s now.

Rates are higher, inflation is real, energy prices are going up and growth stock prices are falling fast. The last time the sentiment got this bad and we did not rally, we had recessions:

I don’t know what a recession looks like in an era of the cloud. It seems everyone else though is really confident.

Speaking of confidence, the next time you tune into CNBC (you should not), remember how the guests you see arguing prepare.

Just a reminder but the cloud market is GROWING. It has been a bear market for cloud stocks but the secular trend is as strong as ever.

Marc Andreessen sat down with Farnam Street and riffed about technology – the good, the bad and the ugly.

This was a great Wired story about the 22 year old making chips in his garage.

Finally – All of Paul Graham’s start-up and investing essays are excellent. Seeing that times might get tougher for startups it is worth reading this 2015 essay ‘Default Dead or Default Alive‘.
