In the new episode, Ms. Wyant tells how she lost her father to Covid and how her mother was hospitalized due to the illness and is still in recovery after almost 2 years. On the positive side, she tells how her granddaughter was inspired to raise money for a food drive for employees impacted by the pandemic.

The latest podcast episode aims to provide listeners with an inspirational story to help them digest their own difficulties during the pandemic and find the hidden blessings in them.

The pandemic has impacted people’s lives nationally and globally in a way, unlike any other current major event. Many have had to come to terms with what they truly find important in life while being exposed to many conflicting views and opinions about the pandemic. The Giant Builders aims to create an alternative to an often confusing and chaotic media landscape with messages of authenticity and hope.

For Ms. Wyant, one hopeful sign in the midst of severe personal struggle was a food drive for employees impacted by the pandemic. Her son, who is the pastor of a church in Maui, started the food drive to help employees in the local tourist industry. In early 2020, flights to Hawaii were canceled and many tourist locations were closed down, putting extreme strain on the industry. Eighty percent of the workforce in Maui is employed in tourism.

Eventually, her son and daughter-in-law ran out of funds to provide complete nutrition in their food boxes. Their daughter had been contributing drawings with hopeful messages in each box, and she suggested they might be able to raise funds by offering her drawings in exchange for small donations. The fundraiser was very successful and led to the publication of a children’s book by Ms. Wyant’s daughter-in-law.

Ms. Wyant founded The Giant Builders to share insights gained from building “giants” in her own life – her family, her business, and her faith. In the new podcast series, she inspires other Christian entrepreneurs to build their own “giants” and strive to perform at their best in all areas of life.
