From their new location, Norweld supplies aluminium trays for single, double, and extra cabbed utes. Each tray can be matched to a range of nine different canopy packages, which can be either removable or permanently fixed.
Ute owners install trays to the rear of their vehicles to allow cargo to be carried safely and add canopies to protect from the elements. The type and configuration of the tray and canopy combination are selected to best suit the cargo and can be installed in new vehicles or retrofitted to pre-owned utes. Trays can be made from various materials, including steel and alloys, but the heavy-duty aluminium used by Norweld offers corrosion protection and is lightweight, maximizing the payload capacity and fuel efficiency of the vehicle.
Norweld trays are the products of years of testing and research and development. For example, they are bolted to mounts that are in turn, bolted onto the vehicle. This configuration eliminates cracking due to flexing if the tray is bolted directly to the vehicle. In addition, optional extras include additional rear racks, tent bars, cooking facilities, and clip-on tables.
The trays and canopies are constructed on-site, and customers need only bring their vehicle to the workshop for fitting, which takes about a day. If the customer is purchasing a new vehicle, Norweld can redirect the vehicle to one of its workshops and install the product before final delivery.
