Gold Star Father, Charles Strange, questions the deaths of SEAL Team 6 in Afghanistan

Explosive new book ‘Relentless: A Gold Star Father’s Pursuit of Truth' questions the Taliban shoot down of Extortion 17. Evidence in the book reveals that the largest loss of life in Afghanistan may have been a setup linked to Osama bin Laden raid.

Philadelphia, Pennsylvania Dec 23, 2021 (Issuewire.com) - Charles Stranges's son, Michael, was a top cryptologist and tier 1 SEAL Team 6 member on the Osama bin Laden raid. Petty Officer First Class (PO1) Michael Strange was one of only 17 that have been awarded the National Intelligence Medal of Honor since the Wind Talkers and World War II. But, after the bin Laden raid, Michael came home tormented, stating "Dad, you'll never believe what's happening in this country!" Then, two months later, on August 6, 2011, Michael was killed in Afghanistan on Extortion 17 with 29 other Americans -- the largest loss of life during the war. Now, Charles is questioning the official narrative and wants to know what happened.

Extortion 17 was the call sign for the Chinook helicopter shot down by the Taliban in Afghanistan that fateful night. Three months earlier, all eyes in the Situation Room were on the elite SEAL Team 6. Then, in August, all three cameras watching the SEAL Team's Chinook "glitched" simultaneously before it was shot down by a "lucky shot," according to the investigation. Charles said, "The official story has too many coincidences to even count."

Relentless: A Gold Star Father's Pursuit of Truth examines aspects of the 1364 pages that were given to me by the government," says Charles. Once secret documents that were leaked to the Stranges and other families reveal that Extortion 17 may have been a setup linked to the Osama bin Laden raid. But when Charles started reading the pages and asking questions, he was met with resistance from the highest levels.

Steven Leuschel, the co-author of Relentless, said, "This is a true oral history piece with Charles pleading with the American people to support a congressional hearing into Extortion 17 -- the largest loss of life during the 20-year war. Charles has an incredible story backing up his claims that everyone in the world needs to hear."

Charles has been seeking the truth about Michael's death for nearly a decade and has gone to Congress, the Pentagon, and The White House. He's pleaded face-to-face with both President Obama and President Trump. In 2013, the government held a hearing called Honoring the Heroes of Extortion 17 in which Charles was barred from speaking and asking questions.

In 2014 at the National Press Club, Charles begged the American people for help, exposing that the setup of Extortion 17 "goes all the way to the top." Now, Charles Strange and Steven Leuschel teamed up to explain Charles' story, the once-classified documents, and the inconsistencies from within our own government that Charles has had to endure for over a decade. As members of SEAL Team 6 say to Charles: "never stop asking questions."
