Some of these benefits include new knowledge and experience about different educational systems, the opportunity to learn a new language and become a global citizen. The Rotarians who have more than 1.2 million members in over 33,000 clubs are an association of people from different backgrounds, and this consists of professionals, business people, and community leaders who believe that the key to world peace is through understanding people of different cultures.

In response to a query about their services, the spokesperson of ROTARY YOUTH EXCHANGE commented, “In our selection process, we do not show any form of prejudice towards applicants. Also, we always ensure that host families are provided with orientation and training by local host Rotary district and club. Volunteer families who have decided to be a host experience a wonderful time with students from other countries, as they can share in his/her dreams and aspirations and eventually develop a lifelong relationship with the students. We also inform anyone that wants to apply as a host for the youth exchange program that there is no compensation or reimbursement for expenses incurred”.

ROTARY YOUTH EXCHANGE has a long-term exchange program also known as the study abroad program, and it is for those who have just graduated from high school. Participating students are required to attend school and live with 2-3 families while on the exchange program which usually lasts for one academic year. This arrangement will ensure that participants learn about a new culture and make lifelong friends. Thus, people looking for study abroad programs for high school students can contact ROTARY YOUTH EXCHANGE via their website.
