Canada Rail Vacations has launched its 2021 luxury train tour between Toronto, ON, and Vancouver, BC. The company is operating four tours each month for the rest of the year, including one which departs on Christmas Day.

The Canadian Prestige Tour recently relaunched by Canada Rail Vacations lasts for 7 days and offers all the nostalgia available only through travel by rail. The tour includes mid-century rail dining cars, where guests will receive made-to-order meals.

On the recently relaunched luxury trips, guests will have access to private tours, and Fairmont Gold Floor hotel rooms. All-inclusive service is available onboard the trains, as well as glass-domed rail cars to enjoy the scenery, and private sleeping cabins.
The tour begins when clients arrive in Toronto where they will have a private transfer from the airport to their hotel. Guests will receive passes to the CN Tower, where they can book an EdgeWalk with no railing, or take a stroll along the tower’s glass floor 116 storeys above the ground.
Day two of the tour will have guests rolling across scenic Canadian landscape, with butler service and oversized private cabins. The tour also includes two nights of accommodation, including breakfast, at luxury hotels. The first in Toronto before the trip, and the second in Vancouver at its conclusion.
The third day will be spent passing north of the Great Lakes, with forests and lakes available for viewing before the train reaches Manitoba on day four. The tour stops briefly in Winnipeg, Manitoba, where guests can exit the train to see the local sights, before continuing through Saskatchewan.

Saskatchewan is known as the “Land of the Living Skies” for good reason. The rails glass-domed observation cars provide guests with a fantastic view of the ever-changing prairie sky, as well as the miles and miles of swaying grass and crops, as they continue through to Alberta for day five.
After a brief trip through Edmonton, the capital city of Alberta, the train will continue west through the Canadian Rocky Mountains. Travelling through the snow-capped mountain peaks, there will be a quick stop in Jasper, Alberta, one of the country’s most popular tourist destinations. Guests will wake up on day six to find themselves at their destination, in Vancouver, BC, where their second night of luxury hotel accommodation awaits.
