The Chiropractic Doctors LLC, a locally owned and operated business, is delighted to announce the launch of their annual Coats For Kids Campaign. This is the fifth year that the campaign has run, and it continues to grow in popularity every year. Everyone knows that Michigan winters can be bitter, and not all children have access to warm thick coats, which is why Dr. Matthew Phinney and the team at The Chiropractic Doctors came up with the original idea for the campaign.
The Chiropractic Doctors are committed to playing a role within the community. They repeatedly heard stories of children going to school in coats that were either not fit for purpose due to wear and tear or were simply not sufficient for the harsh Michigan winters. Rather than sit back and do nothing, they decided that they wanted to take action and become the driving force behind a campaign designed to benefit as many young people as possible.
“No child should ever have to be outside in a coat that doesn’t keep them warm,” said Dr. Matthew Phinney, owner of The Chiropractic Doctors. “I was repeatedly hearing stories from my patients and witnessing for myself children walking to and from school, who looked absolutely freezing. Rather than just donate a few coats, I wanted to develop a community-inspired project that would have a wide-ranging positive impact on our community, and the Coats for Kids Campaign was born. The project gets more popular every year, and as a company, we are totally committed to ensuring its success. This year we are taking donations of coats from the 1st November through to the 1st December. People can donate a coat by leaving it at our office in 5747 28th Street SE Grand Rapids, Michigan. Alternatively, if anyone reading this needs a coat, then they can come and collect one at the same address.”
