Called “The Plantiful Holiday Feast”, the new course targets the nostalgia and flavor of traditional holiday meals and filters them through a plant-based lens. Anyone can join the program, regardless of culinary experience level.

Veganism is a growing trend across the world, and research shows that over 3% of Americans are now committed to eating exclusively plant-based meals. The new course aims to meet this demand by showing families how to create a meal that everyone can enjoy.

Increasingly, when families get together for holiday meals, there are a number of dietary challenges. One of the more recent trends at Thanksgiving and Christmas is catering for vegans among a diverse group of diners.

The new course is aimed at vegans who want to improve their cooking and meal preparation, but it’s also useful for non-vegan family members who want to create a more inclusive holiday feast. By focusing more of their attention on vegan cooking, participants in the program can decrease their carbon footprint this holiday season.

Rather than having to cook individual elements purely for vegan guests, which can feel exclusionary, families can use the course to devise a more inclusive whole family meal.

Scoop Intelligence explains that by the end of the course, participants will have learned new, versatile kitchen tips, and gained a better understanding of the practicality and possibilities of plant-based food.

The course includes 10 lessons, ranging from the planning and preparation stage through to batch prepping, individual recipe ideas including mashed potato and sweet potato casserole, and drink suggestions to pair with each meal.

Also included is a collection of meal planning guides, grocery shopping lists, and recipe modifications for those with further requirements.

The course creator states: “Often when people hear vegan or plant-based, they immediately think bland. That is not the case here. I have transformed these classic holiday dishes. I removed a few ingredients and added some new ones, but the delicious factor remains fully intact.”
