Christian Nursery Rhyme Children’s Book Teaching Gods Love/Blessings Launched

Gatekeeper Press publishes a new children’s Christian nursery rhyme book to help more kids embrace their Lord and Savior in their hearts. Written by Osiris Daniel and illustrated by Niaz Ahmad, the series of poems remind readers that they are all children of God.

Though created for children, I am God’s Child can be read by anyone seeking solace from the Lord. The new book features beautifully colored illustrations and easy-to-read rhymes that simplify all of Christ’s teachings into a single message: Each person is a divine creation of God.

The goal of the new book is to help parents introduce the Word of God to their children with simple messages of hope. Often, children become overwhelmed with the language of sacred texts and do not understand that the essence of Christianity is one of love.

I am God’s Child uses a nursery rhyme-style approach to Christianity. Each poem was written to share the good news of God’s grace and teach the blessings of Jesus Christ. In particular, children are taught that they were wonderfully and fearfully made in the image of the Lord.

The book can be used as a part of a child’s bedtime routine or part of a nursery or kindergarten lesson plan. Several educational studies have noted that children who are empowered to believe in a certain faith are more likely to perform well in school, have a larger group of friends, and are less likely to have behavioral challenges.

Experts believe that this may be due to a child’s feeling of safety and protection in the faith that they have been taught by their parents. This is why many education professionals and child development doctors often suggest teaching children one’s faith at an early age. This makes them feel safer in themselves and in their community.

The book is recommended for children aged four to 10 and can be read out loud for added bonding. Parents are recommended to pause after each poem to ask their child what the moral of the verse is.

One such nursery rhyme is found at the beginning where it states, “I am a new creation. I am special in every way. My creator made me so, from the hairs on my head to my little pinky toe.”
