The correct use of woodworking glue

• 1. Wood control: the moisture content of wood should be controlled below 14%; the surface of the wood should be flat and not wavy.
• 2. Wood splicing adhesive mixing method: When mixing the hardener, it is best to use a flat-bottomed round plastic bucket, which can make the water based bonding adhesive fully mixed. Do not add water or other substances to the glue, otherwise it will cause the strength to decrease.
• 3. Control of the amount of glue applied for woodworking glue: The user should determine the amount of glue applied according to the ambient temperature and humidity. If the ambient temperature is low, the humidity is high (below 80%), and the wood is hard, then the amount of glue should be less; if the space temperature is different, the humidity is low (below 60%), and the wood is soft, then the amount of wood glue should be more.
• 4. Water based adhesive glue gluing standard: The gluing amount is generally controlled between 150g-250g u02 FM (hardwood is 120g-150g u02 FM, soft wood is 120g-250g u02 FM). After the wood is glued, it should be spliced ​​as soon as possible to prevent the glue surface from drying out.
• 5. Treatment of the remaining glue of woodworking glue: If the prepared wood joint glue cannot be used up at one time, it must be sealed and stored for the next reuse (do not expose it to the air for a long time to prevent the skin from drying).
