Brooks Eye Associates, the premier ophthalmology practice in Plano, TX, is proud to announce the hiring of Ajay Patel, O.D. He comes to Brooks with extensive experience in eye care, particularly with evaluation and treatment of post-surgical cataract and LASIK patients.

A Chicago native, Dr. Patel completed his undergraduate degree at Loyola University before attending the University of Incarnate Word Rosenberg School of Optometry in San Antonio, TX. During his education, he provided eye care for veterans at the VA in Peoria, IL, and went on to serve military personnel at Tyndall Airforce Base in Panama City, FL. He relocated to Texas during graduate school and has stayed here ever since: he considers himself a “Texan at heart.”
In addition to his work with veterans and service members, Dr. Patel has familiarity with a wide variety of patients and needs. He has in-depth experience with post-surgical care, glaucoma therapy, corneal crosslinking, eye infections and injuries, dry eye, and primary eye care.
“I look forward to getting to know the patients in our community,” said Dr. Patel. “Eye care is a part of overall health, and I’m grateful for the opportunity to help patients in a city I love.”
Dr. Patel’s first day at Brooks Eye Associates is scheduled for Oct. 11. He is taking appointments now.
