Sturgeon Bay based Doting mother launches healthy tea exclusively for kids

By: Get News
Bellasia Tea has come up with a cool collection of kid-friendly caffeine-free, sugar-free, calorie-free, and antioxidant-rich herbal teas exclusively for children.

Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin – October 20, 2021 – No more bored kids at tea parties who are otherwise forced to pretend to be drinking tea. A Sturgeon Bay-based mother, Mercedes Wadkins, is revolutionizing the tea parties with first-ever collection of real tea exclusively for children.  Bellasia Tea, as her brand is called, has come up with a line of all-natural, caffeine-free, and sugar-free kid-friendly tea, infused with cool fruity and spicy punch.

Interestingly, the name “Bellasia” is inspired by the name of Mercedes’ daughter, who goes by the name of Isabella. Bellasia is an anagram of Isabella.

“Tea parties are great but not so for our little ones. As every parent out there, I too have been taking out my daughter, Isabella, to tea parties since she was 5. In America, we don’t have the culture of having our kids drink tea and so, Isabella, like other kids, had to pretend to be drinking tea at those tea parties. As she grew older, she soon got bored with the practice and wanted to stop pretending and start consuming real tea. I scoured the market for kid-friendly princess tea for my little princess- while I got some really beautiful princess tea sets, I could not find one single kid-friendly tea. And that inspired me to come up with my own brand of kid-friendly tea that my princess and other little munchkins could enjoy at the tea parties or in daily life. Thus, Bellasia Tea was born”, stated Mercedes.

Bellasia Tea is bustling with a wide range of kid-friendly tea collections. Each of the teas has been carefully crafted to be palatable for the kids, without unwanted caffeine or sugar additives. The teas are available in various flavors, such as watermelon, raspberry, vanilla, strawberry, and so on. Recently, Bellasia Tea has introduced a new range of Royal Tea line that comprises 6 teas, featuring fairy-tale characters to make things more exciting for little ones.

“Our teas are completely herbal and rich in antioxidants. Also, our beverages are free from the typical harmful stuff like sugar, caffeine, and calories. In fact, our tea is always a great alternative to juice which has 6 teaspoons of sugar in it and is so overly processed there are no health benefits. Put simply, with us, a cool and safe beverage for your little princess or prince that they would love to enjoy at every tea party from now on.”

Speaking on, Mercedes mentioned her new book, “Bellasia Once Upon a Tea”,  which she has co-authored with her mother Sara Coats, based on her daughter Isabella.

“Tea parties with kids and fairy tales go hand in hand. Like other parents, I too used to tell fairy tales to my daughter but over time, she became disappointed that there were barely any fairy tales where the princess was an adopted daughter. Isabella is my adopted daughter and I could understand her disappointment. I love my daughter dearly and to make things better, I decided to write a book (along with my mother) for her where the lead character would be an adopted princess. Thus, ‘Bellasia Once Upon a Tea’ was born.”

“We hope ‘Bellasia Once Upon a Tea’ would be a magical addition to all kid tea parties, along with our exclusive Bellasia Tea.”
