75 on 75: Find Out Who Will Make it to NBA’s Top 75 List

As part of the 75th anniversary celebration of the biggest basketball league in the world, the National Basketball Association or the NBA will unveil a new list of the 75 greatest players in game history.

It has been a tradition every landmark season in the NBA community to honor the players that have contributed to the league’s legacy. In 1971, upon the 25th year celebration, 25 ballers including Bob Davies, Paul Arizin, and George Mikan were named the Silver Anniversary team. While an all-star team was unveiled on its 35th anniversary with big names like Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Oscar Robertson, and the first non-player member on the list, coach Red Auerbach.

NBA at 50 team was launched at its golden anniversary season, with triple list appearances of NBA legends Bob Cousy and Bill Russel. All of which were selected according to specific qualifications and were voted by the blue-ribbon panel of media, current and former players, coaches, general managers, and team executives.

To continue the NBA tradition, 75 new names will be added to the Hall of Famers ahead of its 75th season anniversary. On October 19-21, the official commencement of the new NBA season, 25 players will be announced to the public on each of the three days. The team will represent a cross-section of positions and eras all throughout the NBA’s rich history. This means that both current and former NBA players will have the chance and the prestige of having their names sit atop the whole basketball industry.

Will your favorite player make it? Fans can watch the announcement of the first 25 members of the NBA Top 75 live on TNT on October 19 at exactly 6 pm. Then, ESPN will take over on the second day, October 20 at 3 pm. On the last day of the season commencement, the final 25 players will be unveiled on TNT at 6 pm.

But while waiting for the grand reveal, fans can catch up on the current NBA standing by downloading the KikOff app. It features a live sports telecast of all the NBA games and a complete and updated schedule of the pre and post-seasons, as well as a professional analysis of the match-up.
