Nashville, Tennessee Oct 12, 2021 (Issuewire.com) - For his fourth single release, Jacob Jones looked deep into his heart and pulled this song directly from it. "Roots" is the personal story of Jones's dad, granddad, and great grandad and how their hard work and lessons taught him true values that have stuck with him to make him the man he is today. It also reflects on how the love of his great grandparents and their 70 plus years of marriage gives him hope for the future and a family for himself. Their stories keep Jones grounded he says, and no matter how bad things get he can always return home and have a place to belong.
"I'm extremely thankful for the old school traditional country way I was raised and this release is especially emotional for me because it's one of the first songs I wrote that I felt was ever worth listening to and it was the last song my great-granddad got to hear me play before he went to heaven," explains Jones.
As the perfect precursor to his EP Jacob will be back in the studio recording in November which will feature 4 songs, each one telling a different story about who he is as a person and also as a songwriter. The EP is expected to be out around March or April of 2022 with more details to come in the months ahead.
Jones has a lot of reasons to be excited, especially with the recent move to Nashville and how much he has grown since being there, Jacobs thought with the new music is people are going to learn a lot about him and possibly see a bit of themselves in these songs as well. After all, that's what music is all about, the connection and experience that freezes time and makes you feel deeply about something or reminisce of a time in your life that certain songs remind you of. Whether that be nostalgia thinking of growing up, or at worst a heartbreak you've felt. Or just the love of God who knows you're not perfect but loves you anyway!
