Charles Williams' New Book, 'The Audacity to Persevere', is an Inspiring Personal Testimony That Demonstrates Hope Being Present Even in the Lowest of Lows

Recent release "The Audacity to Persevere" from Covenant Books author Charles Williams is a transformative journey of perseverance and loving one's self, a life filled with sacrifices and lessons that shaped the author to be the great man that he is now.

HAZEL CREST, Ill. - August 16, 2021 - (Newswire.com)

Charles Williams, a devoted follower of Christ since the age of 8, which later earned him a ministry license as a teenager, a multi-degree holder, a computer operator and programmer at Salvation Army, has completed his new book, "The Audacity to Persevere": an engaging anthology about a man who drops out from high school in order to pursue ministry, whom since then has been living his life dedicated to the Holy Father. In this testimony, he looks back into his life through the rearview mirror, unravels all the difficulties and sacrifices he encountered while living the Christian life. He gladly invites his readers on this journey to help them learn and grow into a dutiful Christian like he is.

Williams shares, "I'm a high school dropout. I never made it past the ninth grade. The reason why is complicated and will be explored throughout the telling of my story of perseverance. When I was 15 years old, I dropped out of high school. At that time, I had only earned one-half of gym credit.

"My life's story is a journey of survival, resilience, and redemption. It's a testimony that your beginning doesn't have to set the tone for your entire life. At the writing of this book, I am a newly retired 65-year-old Salvation Army officer and an ordained elder. As an adult at age 30, I earned my GED. Many years later, I earned my bachelor's degree, two master's degrees, and a doctorate and became a board-certified chaplain.

"It wasn't easy, and it didn't come without sacrifice. I had to take several prep classes to prepare for the GED test. Later, to get into college, I took several years of non-credited classes. During college, I struggled because I wasn't a good speller. I couldn't take notes. Plus dealing with a lower self-image and racism while growing up didn't help. In addition, having a young wife, three children, school full-time, full-time work, and running my own carpet and upholstery cleaning service, added additional pressure."

Published by Covenant Books of Murrells Inlet, South Carolina, Charles Williams' new book is a riveting reflection that shows the beauty and wonder in living with Christ. The author highlighted his downfalls, those moments that he hit rock bottom, to the point of questioning his belief and God's holiness.

Charles Williams encourages every Christian to keep going, keep on growing with Christ, and to keep the faith in God's merciful glory.
