Singer, songwriter Tara Flanagan prepares to release a new debut single with Loneboy Records. She emerges with a dynamic and potent pop sound from Poole, Dorset. ‘Hurt A Little less’ single will also be accompanied by a music video directed by Maya Ou. ‘Hurt A Little less’ is out to impress, capturing the musical and intimate passion from the artist. Some of Tara’s highlights include performing at the BBC Introducing Live Lounge, supporting Rebecca Ferguson, Shalamar, Shola Ama, East 17, FIVE and Kovic as well as singing at the prestigious London Fashion Week for the House of iKons Fashion Show.
This single represents a new start for Loneboy Records as well as Tara Flanagan. Tara Flanagan is the first signing after LoneBoy Records rebranding. ‘Hurt A Little Less’ follows her latest success ‘Cautious’. Tara enlightens the meaning of this single explaining her musical path:
“The song is about that feeling of hopelessness when you lose someone. I feel like it’s something we all go through and sometimes the only way to cope with that emotion is to express it – For me that was through writing this song. I hope people can relate to ‘Hurt A Little Less’ and it helps them without whatever feelings they’re going through.”
“I have a lot of different avenues that give me inspiration for my music…every day in my life sparks an idea for a new song… I really like writing about real life experiences.”
She adds: “I find it quite hard to put my feelings into words, but somehow I find it easy to translate it into a song.” Her words depict the expression and relationship of an artist with its art.
