The poem created inspires love, warmth and culture to the City of San Antonio and community at large

SAN ANTONIO - Aug. 3, 2021 - PRLog -- Inspired by the love, warmth and culture of our community, Community First Health Plans, Inc invited talented local poets to write a beautiful and moving poem about our community and what makes it so special. With the help of six local artists, the poem highlights the beauty of San Antonio while showcasing the diversity and individuality of all the people that make up this great city.

"Our goal for this campaign is to inspire our community and members to embrace San Antonio's beauty and its people." says Theresa Scepanski, President and CEO, Community First Health Plans. "We are very excited and happy that these poets came together to create this heartfelt poem that uplifts us all."

The poem titled 'I AM' was created with the help of poets Natalie Trevino, Gloria Armmer and DaRell Pittman, who were selected for the English version and Liz Vera, Chibbi and Johnny Major Rivers III who were selected for the Spanish version. Each poet brought their flare, authenticity and vibe to create this unique poem with the effort to bring love and joy to whoever listens.

"We are excited to be a part of this project and we are grateful to Community First Health Plans for showcasing all our collective poetic talents on TV," says Gloria Armmer, "We hope our words inspire, uplift and bring joy to everyone that listens."

I am the child catching crawdads after the rain
in Leon Creek.
I am a shower and a shave after ball at Lockwood
Then car show at Rosedale…conjunto, music so good.
I am murals painted on buildings,
making museums reflecting community,
I am the stock girl at the Solo Serve,
folding tiny socks,
I am fathers teaching sons manners to empower
Memories in the making, like prom dates at the Tower
I am MLK Day at Pittman-Sullivan Park.
I am a Mel Waiters song about lost love and broken hearts.
I am the hand that gives you glitter, frosty raspas in the street Mango from chamoy,
oh, what a treat.
I am a sunlit Taste of New Orleans, a moonlit dance at NIOSA, I am Pride at Crocket Park raising rainbows of awareness I am chords of different colors, woven into a tapestry of community

Community First 2021 Advertising Campaign themed, 'One Community, One Local Plan', is an effort to celebrate, honor and uplift all the positive attributes of San Antonio and the people that make our community first while highlighting the benefits and services Community First Health Plans has to offer to its members.
