As a company, ON Semiconductor is continuing their journey of learning and growing as allies within their global communities. One of the things that makes the company unique is their desire to strive for continuous growth, improvement and support of each other, regardless of race, ethnicity, national origin, sex, age, sexual orientation, disability, veteran status, political affiliation or gender identity.
Recently, they launched a new podcast series called Amplify Voices. Their intent is to create awareness, learning and dialogue around social issues. The launch of Amplify Voices demonstrates their core value commitments of respect, integrity and initiative while sharing various executives’ perspectives and how they align with their employees and beyond. This effort is being led by a cross-functional team to enable new and different ways of working and collaborating to grow the company and their individual understanding to various topics focused on the social themes of diversity, equity and inclusion.
Listen to the first episode, “How Companies Respond to Social Issues” featuring Keith Jackson, president and CEO of ON Semiconductor, as he speaks on how companies can effectively and authentically support their communities and responsibly address the current social environment, as well as set a sustainable plan for the future in support of Black employees.
The company’s commitment to social issues goes further with a plan of action to update policies that support social justice via employee-led affinity network groups. The company also helps with facilitating employee donations though their global giving program, boosting recruitment efforts with organizations such as National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE), establishing scholarships for students at historically black colleges and universities, and expanding the current learning and development options available to employees.
Amplify Voices is one small action of a larger social action response plan that ON Semiconductor is taking to help employees learn, grow and be better allies. Future podcast topics include Aligning Diversity and Inclusion to Learning and Development Strategy’s and well as Allyship and Equality in the Workplace.
