ARDMORE, Okla. - March 7, 2018 - PRLog -- Southern Oklahoma welcomes a new film festival called the Sunny Side Up Film Festival (SSUFF). It will be held at The Goddard Center, March 24th/25th, located at 401 1st Ave SW Ardmore, OK.
If you describe something as "sunny side up", you might mean it's cheerful and bright. That's what the festival's atmosphere might be like, especially with The Festival's Emcee being the one and only Mark Staggs, a Comic Celebrity impersonator. This film festival, will be known for having a "Comic Emcee" annually.
The film festival is for indie film and screenplay competition. It will feature multiple screenings, shorts, features, documentaries, animation, westerns, sci-fi, horror, comedy, filmmaker Q&A's and more!
Hollywood film producer Gray Frederickson, and his lovely wife Karen will attend the Award Show on Sunday March 25th. Gray will be presenting the first "SSUFF - The Gray Frederickson Award" to winners of "Best Oklahoma Made Film", and "Best 1st Time Filmmaker". Gray Frederickson is best known for winning an Oscar as one of the producers of The Godfather Part I, II and III. In addition he was also nominated for "Apocalypse Now". Frederickson won an Emmy for "Dream No Little Dream: The Life and Legacy of Robert S. Kerr". He also produced "The Outsiders" that was filmed in Oklahoma.
The festival directors are Rock and Brenda-Marie Whitehead who are also the festival directors of The Wild Bunch Film Festival (TWBFF) going into it's third year in Willcox, AZ.
Fri March 23rd 7:00pm to 9:00pm SSUFF Fundraiser Dinner/Show featuring Mark Staggs at Sipokni West 2200 S. Sawmill Rd, Tishomingo, OK 73460. Please note: The Fundraiser Show/Dinner is not in Ardmore, OK, but held in Tishomingo, OK at Sipokni West.
Sat March 24th 10:00am to 10:00pm Includes all day screenings, with various Filmmaker Q&A's. Saturday Tickets/Passes are $25.
Sun March 25th 10:00am to 7:45pm: Includes all day film screenings with various Filmmaker Q&A's, Mark Staggs Performance, Gray Frederickson presentation & Award Show. Sunday Tickets/Passes are $30.00
Sat & Sun March 24/25 - Weekend Combo Pass - Includes all Sat & Sun screenings, Q&A's, Mark Staggs Sunday Performance, Gray Frederickson's Sunday presentation & Sunday's Award Show. Weekend Combo Tickets/Passes are $50.
The Festival "After-Hang" is Sun March 25th from 7:45pm to 10:00pm at "Two Frogs Grill", located at 2646 West Broadway Street Ardmore, OK. Great food and drinks! They are staying open past normal hours just for festival attendees. Food should be ordered before 9:00pm.
Tickets/Passes for Sat, Sun or weekend passes will be sold only on The Goddard Center website! Tickets also sold at the door, on the days of events if available. Popcorn and bottled drinks will also be available for purchase! Buying tickets early is recommended!
