The Focus RS is outfitted with Ford’s new 2.3L EcoBoost engine, which generates up to 350 hp and 350 lb-ft of torque. The 2016 Focus RS is the first of its kind to include launch control technology – an electronic aid that boosts acceleration smoothly, safely, and with little to no mechanical stress.
Ford Performance AWD and Dynamic Torque Vectoring are also included with the 2016 Ford Focus RS. This unique combination produces excellent traction control during fast acceleration, resulting in the never-before-seen numbers.
Configurable AWD further improves acceleration and handling by allowing Focus RS drivers to optimize the vehicle’s performance based on track or driving conditions. Normal, sport, track, and drift modes adjust AWD, damper controls, steering and engine response, stability control, and exhaust sound. This feature ensures the most appropriate power and handling combinations are always employed.
