‘90s Group Returns to R& B with New Classic Soul EP 3.0 Rebooted!
PRLog - June 18, 2015 - NEW YORK -- SOLO solidifies their return to R&B with the release of the group’s much-anticipated third album 3.0 Rebooted (EP and Deluxe Versions) on Friday, June 19. The new album, available for download on iTunes, (and all digital media) delivers SOLO’s distinctive brand of New Classic Soul with songs like the first single, “Gone,” the summer time steppers delight, the sexy male anthem “MF Keeper,” the soulful ode to falling in love, “Superfan” and many more soulful originals. Full track list below.

The trio, Daniele Stokes, D Nell Chavis and Rob Anderson, have been making music since the ‘90s, discovered by super producers Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis (Janet Jackson, Mariah Carey, Boyz II Men) in New York’s SoHo district. The producing duo signed the group to their boutique label Perspective/A&M Records and released the group’s self-titled debut album Solo in 1995. The album received critical acclaim and was nominated for the Soul Train Music Awards, Soul Album of the Year. Selling more than 1.5 million albums and singles, it included hits “Heaven and “Where Do You Want Me to Put It.”

3.0 Rebooted stays true to the SOLO sound. “When we started working on new music we were only competing with ourselves,” says tenor Stokes. “We wanted to create a radio-friendly album that our fans could play from beginning to end.” The project was written by SOLO and released under the group’s independent label, digitally distributed by Symphonic Distribution.

Dubbed The Temptations of the 90s, SOLO plan to build on the millions of fans they touched while touring the US, Canada, Europe, and Japan. They have toured with artists such as, the Queen herself Aretha Franklin, R Kelly, Michael Bolton, Patty Labelle, Gladys Knight, Frankie Beverly & Maze, Chaka Kahn, R Kelly, The Notorious BIG, LL Cool J, and many more. “Reconnecting with our fans was the motivation for the new album,” says Chavis. “We look forward to getting on the road and performing new music and of course, the classics!” Stay connected - follow @solothegroup on social media for information on special events, tour dates and more.
