Mid-year Restore Integrity Award Winners Announced

By: PRLog
The 2013 mid-year Restore Integrity Award winners are all "prolific truth tellers" according to Dr. Andrew D. Jackson who co-administers the awards program. George Stokes, Sr., Lead Co-Administrator, says: "So much information and so many articles and books are circulated or advertised on the internet, but the words of our award recipients seem to jump off the screen.” The award recipients are Adam Liptak, Glenn Greenwald, Dr. Cornell West, and Retired Judge Elizabeth A. Weaver.
PRLog - Jun 29, 2013 - CROWN POINT, Ind. -- The national legal reform organization known as POPULAR, has bestowed its 2013 mid-year "Restore Integrity Awards" (RIA).  The latest awards are all under the program’s Private Sector Category.

Since June 2009, POPULAR’s RIA has been awarded bi-annually in the categories of private sector, public sector, and / or grassroots advocacy.

All of POPULAR’s award recipients have taken or otherwise pursued one or more specific acts or measures to eliminate significant inequity, waste, fraud, abuse, or other public and/or private sector corruption in America. POPULAR defines corruption as any illegal or unethical conduct contributing to the systemic malfunction of government, commerce, and/or democracy in America as contemplated by the U.S. Constitution.

George Stokes, Sr., Lead Co-Administrator of POPULAR’s RIA explained: “This year’s mid-year award winners are all writers, except that Dr. Cornell West is also a very popular public speaker.  So much information and so many articles and books are circulated or advertised on the internet, but the words of our award recipients seem to jump off the screen.”

Dr. Andrew D. Jackson is also a POPULAR RIA Co-Administrator.  He says, “I consider our 2013 mid-year award winners to be prolific truth tellers.  Many people are high-profile writers or speakers, and while most of them are probably truthful, I am so often struck by how partisan the news, and “experts”, and pundits seem.  Most times I feel bombarded by propaganda, but not when I read or hear what our current award winners have to say.”

POPULAR’s 2013 mid-year Restore Integrity Award winners are:

Private Sector Category:

Adam Liptak
for consistently exploring and revealing the prospect of social engineering by the U.S. Supreme Court such as through Liptak, A. (2013, May 4). Corporations Find a Friend in the Supreme Court. New York Times.com;

Dr. Cornell West for empowering all people by consistently suggesting through public presentations that the first step in effectively combating gross abuses of power is to become generally intolerant of them;

Glenn Greenwald for consistently exploring and revealing the prospect of social engineering by U.S. government, including our judicial branches, and the complicity of major media;

The Honorable Elizabeth A. Weaver for providing Americans a rare, behind the scenes look at the politics of judicial deliberations and corresponding ethical transgressions through Weaver, Elizabeth A. and Schock, David B. Judicial Deceit:  Tyranny and Unnecessary Secrecy at the Michigan Supreme Court.  Peninsula Press, 2013. Print.
