Teradata Elevates Louis Landry to Chief Technology Officer

Teradata Corporation (NYSE: TDC) today announced that Louis Landry has been promoted to the position of CTO. In this role, Landry will leverage more than two decades of experience in software architecture and engineering leadership to drive the company’s technological vision and innovation strategy.

Landry has been with Teradata for more than 10 years, most recently as head of the company’s Technology and Innovation Office, where he led advanced research and development for Teradata. He has focused on leveraging Teradata’s core strengths to address emerging market disruptions, in particular the shift towards open and connected data platforms and the revolution in artificial intelligence, including generative AI. Under his leadership, his team contributed to groundbreaking new capabilities, such as Teradata ask.ai, and oversaw the development of entire new offerings, such as the compute engine project that evolved into Teradata AI Unlimited, Teradata’s first on-demand compute engine.

About Louis Landry

Since 2020, Landry has served as the Vice President of Technology & Innovation at Teradata. Prior to this role, Landry held key leadership positions at the company, including Engineering Fellow and CTO of Unified Data Architecture Platform Technologies.

Before joining Teradata, Landry held significant positions at MicroStrategy, where he focused on analytics product development. At Sears Holdings Corporation, he led the design of a real-time data acquisition platform using open-source technologies. While at eBay Inc., Landry led the development of an analytics platform for top sellers and an internal analytics-as-a-service project focused on making the company more data-driven.

Louis has also made significant contributions to the open-source community through his role as a Project Leader and Development Coordinator for the Joomla! Project from 2005 to 2011. Louis holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Louisiana Tech University and a Rethink Strategy Certificate from Harvard Business School.
