Zebra Earns Highest Score on Human Rights Campaign Foundation’s Corporate Equality Index

Company’s ranking underscores its deep commitment to advancing LGBTQ+ workplace equality

Zebra Technologies Corporation (NASDAQ: ZBRA), a leading digital solution provider enabling businesses to intelligently connect data, assets, and people, today announced it has received a score of 100 on the Human Rights Campaign Foundation’s 2023-2024 Corporate Equality Index (CEI). By meeting all the CEI’s criteria, Zebra also earned the Equality 100 Award: Leader in LGBTQ+ Workplace Inclusion.

“We are proud to see our commitment and progress to cultivate equality and inclusion in our workplace reflected in our perfect score from the Human Rights Campaign Foundation,” said Jeff Schmitz, Chief People Officer, Zebra Technologies. “We remain dedicated to building a strong culture in which all our employees, partners, and customers feel seen, heard, valued and respected.”

Launched in 2019, the Zebra Equality Alliance (ZEAL), the company’s award-winning LGBTQ+ and allies employee resource group has been instrumental in enabling LGBTQ+ inclusion at the company by cultivating its pillars of awareness, talent enablement, and advocacy.

“This recognition from the Human Rights Campaign Foundation shows Zebra’s progress in creating a safe, inclusive, accepting and supporting culture where the LGBTQ+ community is treated equitably, empowered to live authentically, and enabled to reach their full potential,” said Mike Stent, Zebra Technologies Vice President, Internal Audit and ZEAL co-leader who openly identifies as a member of the LGBTQ+ community.

Zebra was rated on criteria under four central pillars: non-discrimination policies across business entities, equitable benefits for LGBTQ+ workers and their families, supporting an inclusive culture, and corporate social responsibility.

“For over two decades, businesses have played an important role in furthering LGBTQ+ equality by centering employee needs and voices when it comes to workplace inclusion,” said RaShawn “Shawnie” Hawkins, Human Rights Campaign Senior Director of Workplace Equality. “While there is work to be done, growth in CEI participation illustrates a business community that recognizes the responsibility and value in upholding equity and inclusion.”
