The first problem is students can easily circumvent existing proctoring software services and cheat without detection. According to a recent study by the Open Education Database (OEDb), 60% of college students admit to cheating and, of those, 95% are never caught. Students currently cheat on online tests by using their smartphones outside the webcam viewing area to send and receive photos, google exam answers, and use online solvers.
