Mary Ann Pesce, Bruce Cleverly to Join Post-Merger P&G Organization

Earlier today, P&G announced that two more Gillette senior leaders have agreed to join the post-merger organization in key leadership roles, pending the approval of the P&G Board of Directors.

Personal Care President Mary Ann Pesce and Oral Care President Bruce Cleverly are slated to move to President-level P&G assignments following the close of the transaction. Last month, the appointments of five other members of the Gillette Operating Committee to key leadership roles in the combined company were announced. These executives are Mike Cowhig, Joe Dooley, Peter Hoffman, Mark Leckie and Ed Shirley.

P&G also announced that upon closing, it anticipates that Chip Bergh, president of P&G's ASEAN, Australasia and India (AAI) operation, will be moving to an assignment at the President level within Gillette. Until that time, Chip will be working on special assignment reporting directly to Chairman A.G. Lafley.

The integration process to “Field the Best Team” will continue, and additional senior-level appointments will be announced as assignments are finalized in the coming months.

P&G and Gillette shareholders will vote on the proposed merger on July 12.
