(b) On
June 11, 2008, Robert B. Sari notified Rite Aid Corporation (the “Company”) that
he intends to leave his position as the Company's Executive Vice President,
General Counsel and Secretary in the Fall of 2008 in order to relocate back to
Portland, Oregon with his wife and children. Mr. Sari will assist in
the search for and the transition to a successor.
