Genworth Financial, Inc. previously announced the election of Risa J. Lavizzo-Mourey, M.D. to its Board of Directors. At the time of her election, the Board of Directors had not yet determined the committees of the Board on which Dr. Lavizzo-Mourey would serve.

On February 14, 2008, the Board of Directors appointed Dr. Lavizzo-Mourey to the Audit Committee and the Legal and Public Affairs Committee.
