Item 2.02. Results of Operations and Financial Condition.

 

On June 13, 2005, Casey’s General Stores, Inc. issued a press release announcing its financial results for the fourth quarter and fiscal year ended April 30, 2005. A copy of the Company’s press release is attached as Exhibit 99.1 and is incorporated herein by reference.

 

Item 7.01. Regulation FD Disclosure.

 

On June 13, 2005, the Company also released May 2005 same-store sales results. Average gasoline gallons sold per store increased 6.5% in May 2005 compared to May 2004. The average retail price of gasoline sold during May 2005 was $1.99 per gallon. Same-store sales of grocery and other merchandise increased 6.5% and prepared food and fountain same-store sales increased 11.2% in May 2005 compared to May 2004.
