Item 5.02. Departure of Directors or Certain Officers; Election of Directors; Appointment of Certain Officers; Compensatory Arrangements of Certain Officers
(b) On August 1, 2014, Nucor Corporation (the “Corporation”) announced that Keith B. Grass will retire from his position as Executive Vice President of Raw Materials of the Corporation, effective September 12, 2014. Mr. Grass, age 57, joined the Corporation and became an Executive Vice President in 2008 upon the Corporation’s acquisition of The David J. Joseph Company. His decision to retire is voluntary and in accordance with the Corporation’s succession planning.
R. Joseph Stratman, who began his Nucor career in 1989 and has served as Executive Vice President since 2007, will assume responsibilities as Executive Vice President of Raw Materials.
