Allison Shimamoto launched Haiama Beauty shortly after earning her MBA at the University of Virginia. Today based in the Bok Building in South Philadelphia, the brand makes products for those with Type 4 hair. She is looking to secure $300,000 to scale the business this year and grow brand awareness.
