September 16, 2022 – Capucia Publishing is pleased to announce the release today of its latest book, The Love Liar – A Memoir of Codependency, Narcissism and the Pursuit of Self-Love by author Carin M. LaCount.
Carin LaCount’s mother died when she was only six years old, leaving young Carin to blame herself for losing her mother’s love. The love lies continued as Carin grew and she based her relationships with others on her false ideas, making her a prime target for narcissistic personalities. Carin found the perfect partner in love crime with a manipulative husband who took everything she could give him.
Eventually, Carin’s body said “enough” and rebelled with an autoimmune disease, yet she continued to give all she could to her narcissistic husband. Finally, she found the inner strength to walk away from her 20-year marriage. But two years later, her disease came back with a vengeance, giving Carin an ultimatum: either learn to love yourself or lose your life. Rushing to the hospital in an ambulance, Carin saw for the first time her love lies and how they’d plagued her life. Then and there, she made the decision to seek the truth for her health, her family, and her life.
“It is rare to see such a story make the undeniable connection between emotional pain and physical illness, but The Love Liar does exactly this,” states Debbie Mirza, bestselling author of The Covert Passive Aggressive Narcissist and Worthy of Love. “It’s a gut-wrenching tale of one woman’s pursuit of self-love in the midst of a narcissistic abusive marriage that leads her to find the strength to stand up for herself and claim her own worth and value. Carin’s vulnerability is both brave and inspiring.”
The Love Liar shares Carin’s vulnerable tale with understanding for the abused and the abuser as a guide toward the truth of love and is available here: https://www.capuciapublishing.com/
