Liborio and Merrisa Vargas, a father-daughter duo, established Way of the Warrior Martial Arts in 2007 to share the positive benefits of Martial Arts and Brazilian Jiu-jitsu with the community. They want to inspire a generation of kids who can change the world for the better by instilling values such as discipline, respect, patience, love, and humility. By focusing on character development and self-improvement, Way of the Warrior Martial Arts has empowered over 12,000 kids to unleash their true potential. The duo’s goal is to empower 10,000 more kids within the next five years.
Way of the Warrior Martial Arts accommodates everyone. Regardless of size or experience, the programs are designed to equip students with everything they need to defend themselves. According to the founders, their easy-to-learn curriculum teaches children self-defense while embracing their inner strength.
Currently, Liborio is teaming up with elementary schools around his community to offer workshops that can help further their goals. The workshops include Black Belt Decision Makers, Bully Awareness, Stranger Danger, and more.
