Editorial Freelancers Association to Sponsor Nonfiction Writers Con

NEW YORK - April 21, 2022 - PRLog -- The Editorial Freelancers Association is sponsoring the virtual Nonfiction Writers Conference for the first time, May 4 – May 6. Check out their Recommended Resources page, with information about resources for clients, such as our chart of common editorial rates and our guide for new authors, as well as hiring the right editing professional through our Member Directory and Job List!

"We are very happy to be sponsoring this virtual event," says Amy Spungen, EFA Events chairperson. "The Nonfiction Writers Conference is a great opportunity for authors to hone their craft and learn about the business of writing."

Launched by the Nonfiction Authors Association in 2010, the Nonfiction Writers Conference was designed to focus on the specific needs of nonfiction writers.  All sessions will be delivered via phone or Skype, so there is no need to use a video screen. Attendees may listen live, or access recordings and transcripts at a later time.

Founded in 1970, the Editorial Freelancers Association is a national nonprofit professional organization with approximately 3,000 members, including writers, editors, copy editors, proofreaders, indexers, translators, and others who work in publishing, communications, and related fields.

The EFA has garnered praise from publishing pros like Jane Friedman and Louise Harnby and is frequently listed as a valuable resource for authors on sites including Poets & Writers, BookBub, Publishers Weekly, Poynter, and the Chicago Manual of Style blog.

EFA Mission

The EFA advances excellence among our dynamic community of freelance editorial professionals by providing opportunities for business development, learning, and networking. Our resources help our members and their clients build successful collaborations.

"The Editorial Freelancers Association just might be the book publishing industry's most powerful secret weapon …" – Publishers Weekly
