Driven by that goal, Missions, Churches, Advanced Organizations and Continental Liaison Offices contend all year for top honors across six continents and dozens of cities, with some tightly contested races coming down to the final days. The Church of Scientology, perched on the hills of Randburg, opened its doors on December 23, 2017. 7 years later, they claim their well-deserved title of champions of Africa. The 70,000-square-foot facility is hard at work to bring social services to the people residing in the "City of Gold." Found in the pan-African capital of Johannesburg, the intriguing and hidden gem has attracted much attention from anyone seeing the architectural masterpiece.

In celebrating the Founder of Scientology, the well-attended celebration attracted many that have benefitted from L. About the company: "Since 1981, we have served a growing congregation in Johannesburg North. Johannesburg holds an exceptional place in Scientology history. For it was in Johannesburg that the Founder of our religion, L. Ron Hubbard, made his home in the early 1960s and worked to bring the spiritual freedom of Scientology to our nation. Above all, it was here he sought to revitalise the indomitable African spirit—a spirit which, once sparked, could burn forth throughout the world and thus realise his prediction and his dream: “From Southern Africa will spring the next great civilisation on this planet.”
