Manchester, N.H. Ranks in Top Five College Towns with Fastest Broadband Speeds, Thanks to Fidium

Construction on a new all-fiber network will bring benefits to Conway, North Conway and Exeter

More than 30,000 homes in Manchester, N.H. can now get best-in-class, multi-gig-speed internet from Fidium Fiber, the new customer-centered broadband service that recently helped the city rank in the top five college towns with fastest fixed broadband speeds.

Soon, residents in Exeter, Conway and North Conway will be able to order Fidium, as construction has begun on an all-fiber network. Before the year’s end, more than 12,000 homes in these towns will be able to experience the service that won top spot in the Best of 603 contest for internet providers in New Hampshire.

“I’m thrilled that even more Granite State residents can experience how powerful multi-gig internet and WiFi 6 can be,” said Erik Garr, president of consumer and small business for Consolidated Communications. “Residents throughout New Hampshire are now reaping the economic, educational, health and entertainment benefits that reliable, super-high-speed internet delivers.”

With 2 Gig service, users can connect dozens of smart devices, stream ultra-high-definition video, join video conferences and connect multiple bandwidth-hungry devices simultaneously. While 1 Gig is Fidium’s most popular plan, 2 Gig plans can satisfy even the heaviest data users or those who just want the fastest available symmetrical home internet.

All Fidium plans offer symmetrical speeds from 50 Mbps to 2 Gigs, with no contract and no data caps. Customers can also get phone service through VoIP plans and streaming TV service. Get your entertainment at home or on the go without fussy equipment to clutter your rooftop.

Every Fidium Fiber internet plan offers:

  • simple, affordable pricing ($70 per month for 1 Gig) that includes WiFi equipment, with no data cap and no contract;
  • an intelligent whole-home mesh WiFi 6 experience with a top-rated gateway;
  • the Attune WiFi mobile app providing network visibility and management, age-appropriate content settings, guest access, time of day usage controls, speed tests and more;
  • easy, hassle-free installation on your schedule with text updates and two-hour appointment windows;
  • intuitive customer portal with self-service options; and
  • real time, proactive network monitoring to solve issues remotely and ensure the best internet performance.

Fidium is available in more than 70 New Hampshire communities, including: Bedford, Concord, Derry, Exeter, Goffstown, Hampton, Hudson, Keene, Londonderry, Marlborough, Marlow, Merrimack, Milford, Nashua, Portsmouth and Salem. Fidium is coming soon to residents in Bow, Loudon and more.
