Jam City, Inc., a leading game developer behind some of the world’s highest-grossing and most enduring games, today announced several important hires and promotions aimed to advance the company's expansion across critical categories in its free-to-play business. Jam City remains committed to strengthening and deepening its free-to-play games portfolio in tandem with its newly announced blockchain division focused on web development and play-and-earn games.

Lisa Anderson has been promoted to Executive Vice President, where she will oversee Jam City’s free-to-play games, including the Casino, Puzzle and Lifestyle Divisions. Anderson joined Jam City from The Walt Disney Company in 2017, and she has played an integral role in important initiatives including leading the integration of the Burbank Studio into Jam City, helping to drive explosive growth in the studio’s flagship title, Disney Emoji Blitz, and leading new development of an exciting game later this year.

In addition to Anderson’s promotion, Jam City has deepened its executive bench with subject matter experts that will oversee critical divisions, reporting to her.

Dan Lipa joined Jam City to lead its Casino Division, which includes Bingo Pop, Mahjong and Solitaire. Lipa is an expert in casino gaming, having honed his skills at Playtika, Win Interactive and Gamesmart before co-founding his own social casino start-up, as well as founding a studio specializing in hyper-casual gaming.

Brent Blazek has been appointed to lead Jam City’s Puzzle Division, which comprises highly successful games including Cookie Jam, Cookie Jam Blast, Panda Pop and Genies & Gems. Blazek joins Jam City from King, where he spent a total of eight years – most recently as the Head of Product for Candy Crush: Soda Saga, where he helped to achieve revenue growth 3 years in a row.

“We are fortunate to have amazing talent at Jam City, who over the years have created numerous hit puzzle, narrative/RPG, and casual casino games. As the mobile gaming industry continues to get more competitive and we continue to scale, we're investing in subject matter experts to help us claim and retain industry leadership, with a focus on growing existing games and launching upcoming titles,” said Josh Yguado, Co-founder and President, Jam City. “We knew when we hired Lisa Anderson that she was an incredible talent. She has shown up as a true leader and we’re excited to see what she will do at the helm of Jam City’s free-to-play genres. Reporting to Lisa, we welcome Brent and Dan to our Puzzle and Casino divisions whose expertise and proven abilities to drive growth are critical to our success.”
