Shincheonji Evangelism Convention in Incheon: Igniting Passion and Revelation Among Thousands of People

The Shincheonji Incheon Evangelism Seminar draws over 15,000 attendees and 150 pastors

INCHEON, SOUTH KOREA, October 10, 2024 /24-7PressRelease/ -- It has been revealed that the number of pastors from established churches attending the Shincheonji Church of Jesus, the Temple of the Tabernacle of the Testimony's (Shincheonji Church of Jesus) Bible Conferences that have been held one after another recently is increasing with each session. Pastor Oh In-jong of the Presbyterian Church of Korea (PCK), one of the two major Presbyterian denominations in Korea, has attended the Shincheonji Bible Conferences five times in a row. He revealed that his dream is to share the revealed word together with Shincheonji Church of Jesus through a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Shincheonji Church of Jesus and said, "I believe that the revival of Shincheonji (Church of Jesus) is because God exists."

Like Mr. Oh's case, the flame of change is spreading rapidly among pastors of established churches who have come into contact with the words of Shincheonji Church of Jesus. The fact that pastors are flocking to the Shincheonji Word Convention held every week without fail is evaluated as reflecting the desire for revival among pastors of Korean churches.

From early in the morning on the 6th, pastors lined up and arrived at the Shincheonji Church of Jesus Matthew Branch Incheon Church. These were pastors who had arrived at the church early to attend the '2024 Shincheonji Revelation Fulfillment Reality Evidence Incheon Evangelism Convention.' The pastors who sat down in order waited for Chairman Man-hee Lee, who was to speak that day, with somewhat solemn expressions. The church even arranged additional seats as the number of attendees in the sanctuary increased.

Just one day after the Word Conference held in Yeongdeungpo on the 5th, where a total of 14,000 people including pastors attended, pastors gathered again in Incheon. This shows that pastors' interest in the theme of this year's evangelistic conference, 'Evidence of the Reality of the Fulfillment of Revelation,' is hotter than ever.

According to the organizers, there were a total of 15,000 people, including 150 pastors, at the evangelistic meeting held in Incheon that day, and 130,000 people attended online. The church, as well as the outside of the church, was filled with thousands of people. The streets were filled with the shouts of the believers welcoming the pastors who visited the Shincheonji Church of Jesus. There were many pastors who were surprised by the size of the crowd. A citizen passing by said, "The neatly dressed and bright appearance of the believers was impressive."

Shincheonji Church of Jesus has been holding regular Bible conferences since last September. Following the Bible conferences held in the Yeongnam region including Masan and Busan, the Bible conferences held in Nowon-gu and Yeongdeungpo-gu in Seoul recently became a hot topic as tens of thousands of people gathered at once. The reason Shincheonji Church of Jesus has been holding these regular Bible conferences is to reveal to pastors of established churches that the prophecies in the Book of Revelation, the last prophetic book of the Bible, have been fulfilled and the reality has been revealed, and to inform them of the importance of faith based on the Bible.

In addition, Shincheonji Church of Jesus emphasizes the value that "all churches are one in the Word" and seeks to help revival through exchanges of words with pastors from established churches. In particular, as many pastors from established churches have doubts about the growth of Shincheonji Church of Jesus, there is analysis that pastors are continuing to step forward to confirm this.

On this day, Chairman Lee Man-hee continued his lecture without any disruption, standing for about an hour. Chairman Lee said, "I came here to tell you what I have personally seen and heard about the prophecy of the Book of Revelation and it's fulfillment," and emphasized, "The word of God should be engraved in our hearts like a seal, and we should know it accurately and convey it without adding or subtracting anything."

The Chairman said, "Just like the prophecies of the Old Testament, the prophecies of the New Testament will also be fulfilled. If you are a believer who believes in the Word, shouldn't you check at least once that the Book of Revelation has been fulfilled?" He added, "You can't just have a cursory understanding of the Book of Revelation. Since it is written that if you add or subtract from it, you will not be able to enter heaven and will be cursed, I must continue to ask myself and confirm whether I have added or subtracted from the Book of Revelation or have mastered it."

He also emphasized to pastors, "You must abandon the faith that lies and interprets the Bible on your own without knowing it, and now you must truly repent and be born again through the Word." He also said, "If you have a faith that seeks respect or recognition, you become the enemy of God. The Book of Revelation is God's final work. You must repent, master the Book of Revelation, and teach it." He also did not forget to urge them, "God and the Bible are one, so why should we tear it apart and curse?" and "Let us become one in the Word."

The pastors listened with seriousness like students, unable to take their eyes off the Chairman as he explained the entire Book of Revelation from chapters 1 to 22 without hesitation. Pastor Kim Jeong-sun, who served in the Presbyterian Church for 12 years, said, "The speech of this Chairman was amazing," and "It was surprisingly a blessing to see him shout and scold like Jonah, telling people to repent. Everything he said was right, so I didn't feel bad about the scolding." He also said, "Just seeing the orderly and bright appearance of many of the congregation members made me feel good."

There were also voices saying, "As we watch the growth of Shincheonji, our pastors must repent." One pastor said, "I will persuade the pastors around me to put aside what I know and listen to the words of the Book of Revelation at least once." Pastor Kim Hee-jung (pseudonym, 60, female), who is doing pastoral work in China, confessed, "I always felt frustrated because I didn't know the meaning of the Bible's parables, so I beat my chest every time I stood in front of the congregation." She added, "I heard that the Book of Revelation was opened in Korea, so I came without thinking. The moment I heard the word, my heart trembled and felt like it was going to burst."

Every time the Shincheonji Church of Jesus's Word Conference is held, not only pastors but also ordinary religious people and citizens are showing interest and flocking in large numbers. The church cited the promotional parades that have been held simultaneously across the country since the end of last month and that each Word Conference has become a hot topic with at least 10,000 to as many as 70,000 people attending.

"We have received many inquiries such as, 'I saw an advertisement for a Shincheonji Word Conference, but where should I go?'" a church official said. The number of YouTube views of the Word Conference held previously has also proven interest, exceeding 500,000, including live streaming.

Shincheonji Church of Jesus, the Temple of the Tabernacle of the Testimony, General Chairman Lee Man-hee is giving a lecture at the '2024 Shincheonji Incheon Evangelism Convention, Revelation Fulfillment Reality' held at the Matthew Tribe Incheon Church in Incheon on the 6th. A total of 15,000 people, including 150 pastors, attended the event.
