On November 27, 2018, Peoples United Financial, Inc. (Peoples United) issued a joint press release announcing the execution of the Agreement and Plan of Merger, dated as of November 26, 2018, by and between Peoples United and BSB Bancorp, Inc. (BSB Bancorp), pursuant to which, on the terms and subject to the conditions set forth therein, BSB Bancorp will merge with and into Peoples United, with Peoples United as the surviving corporation in the merger. A copy of the joint press release is attached as Exhibit 99.1 to this report and is incorporated herein by reference.
Additionally, Peoples United provided supplemental information regarding the proposed transaction in connection with presentations to analysts and investors. A copy of the investor presentation is attached as Exhibit 99.2 to this report and incorporated herein by reference.
