Item 8.01               Other Events

On June 15, 2011, Aceto Corporation (the “Company”) issued the attached press release that included a letter to the shareholders of the Company (the “Shareholders Letter”) providing them with a strategic update regarding the focus and future plans for the Company. A copy of the press release, which includes the Shareholders Letter is attached as Exhibit 99.1 to this Report on Form 8-K and is also posted and available on the Company’s website.  The information in this Report shall not be deemed "filed" for purposes of Section 18 of the Securities Exchange Act of 1934, as amended (the "Exchange Act"), or otherwise subject to the liabilities under that Section, nor shall it be deemed to be incorporated by reference into any filing under the Securities Act of 1933, as amended, or the Exchange Act, except as expressly set forth by specific reference in such a filing.
