ITEM 8.01 OTHER EVENTS

On December 22, 2006, Streicher Mobile Fueling, Inc. (the “Company”) issued a press release announcing that it approved at its Annual Meeting a change of the Company's name to SMF Energy Corporation and the former Florida corporation's reincorporation in Delaware. At the Annual Meeting, the Company also announced that its Board of Directors had appointed two new executive officers, namely Robert W. Beard, Sr. Vice President, Marketing & Sales and Investor Relations Officer, and Timothy E. Shaw, Sr. Vice President, Information Services & Administration and Chief Information Officer. A copy of the press release describing the name change and appointment of the two executive officers is attached hereto as Exhibit 99.1 and incorporated herein by reference.
