Cameco Reports Labour Agreement at Kumtor Gold Mine
Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada, December 22, 2006 . . . . . . . . . . . . .
Cameco Corporation confirmed today that the illegal work stoppage at Centerra Gold Inc.s Kumtor
mine has ended and normal mine operations are expected to restart on Friday, December 22, 2006. The
company has also reached an agreement with the trade union regarding all material terms of a
two-year labour agreement. The previous agreement was due to expire on December 31, 2006.
Cameco owns 53% of Centerra Gold Inc. which owns and operates the Kumtor mine located in the Kyrgyz
Republic, Central Asia.
Cameco, with its head office in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, is the worlds largest uranium producer.
The companys uranium products are used to generate electricity in nuclear energy plants around the
world, providing one of the cleanest sources of energy available today. Camecos shares trade on
the Toronto and New York stock exchanges.
