Appointment of Certain Officers

 

On August 28, 2008, the Board of Directors of Casella Waste Systems, Inc. (the “Company”) appointed Paul J. Massaro, 51, as the Company’s principal financial officer. Mr. Massaro has served as the Director of Finance of the Company since April 2002 and continues to serve in that position. Mr. Massaro is serving as the principal financial officer of the Company following the retirement of the Chief Financial Officer, Richard Norris. The Company is engaged in a search for Mr. Norris’ replacement.
